SPU PUMP STATION AND CSO FACILITY CONDITION ASSESSMENT | SEATTLE, WA

Client: Seattle Public Utilities
Owner: City of Seattle
SvR Role: Civil Engineering
Start Date: 1/2/2012
End Date: Ongoing

SvR is leading the Condition Assessment for Seattle Public Utilities’ 68 Wastewater Pump Stations and 162 NPDES Permitted Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) facilities in the City of Seattle. The overall task of this project is to review and establish baseline structural and hydraulic information for SPU’s assets.

SvR is conducting photo documentation and analysis to prepare a baseline condition assessment for the city’s assests. The team has coordinated schedules with SPU pump station maintenance crews for cleaning and access and with services from SPU vendors for confined space entry support, traffic control, and facility cleaning as needed. As partners with SPU, SvR will draft findings reports, provide recommendations for next steps, and develop cost estimates for corrective actions.
