SvR designed more than 90 miles of projects implementing the 2007 Seattle Bicycle Master Plan (SBMP). Our work focused on design protocols for many different types of on-street facilities for bicyclists, including sharrow (shared-street) corridors, buffered bike lanes (bike lanes with additional dedicated space separating travel lanes from the bike lanes), bike boxes that assist in intersection movements, crossing strategies for acute angle rail crossings and road diets to create more space for both bicycle and pedestrian facilities. These corridors link community facilities and key transit stations, schools, parks and other bicycling destinations.
