SvR Role: Landscape Architecture & Civil Engineering
Construction Cost (Site): $1 million
Start Date: 2005
End Date: 2011
SvR provided landscape architecture and civil site design for this 500,000 square foot, five level parking garage in the City of SeaTac. Natural drainage elements included a terraced stormwater treatment system that turned key infrastructure into a public amenity in an open space. The project also included 15,000 square feet of retail along the street frontage. Adjoining the retail is a shared space plaza that serves as the pedestrian and vehicle entrance to the parking garage. The sidewalks were built on the private site so that part of the right of way could be taken up with a planted buffer to shield pedestrians from International Boulevard, a 6-lane arterial.
