On the HOPE VI funded redevelopment of the Rainier Vista Community, SvR provided services in planning, civil engineering, ROW and parks landscape architecture, and led site design for the multiple phase redevelopment of this 80-acre/1010 unit housing community.  SvR’s work includes the development of a new street and sidewalk system, new storm drainage, sanitary sewer and water systems, design coordination of new underground electrical and telecommunication systems, street lighting, gas distribution, wetland mitigation and regrading of the entire site. The project involved extensive coordination with redevelopment of Martin Luther King Way including coordination with Sound Transit station facilities and light 
rail system.
