SvR Role: Civil Engineering
Construction Cost: $60,657
Start Date: 3/2010
End Date: 5/2011

Echo Glen Children’s Center (EGCC) has been experiencing significant I&I due to a high groundwater table, leaking manholes, and misaligned pipe connections. The increased flow was causing the total flow levels to the Snoqualmie wastewater treatment system to exceed allowable limits and the EGCC was assessed additional fees. SvR’s team led the sewer main upgrades for this project. Using video inspection, SvR identified segments of pipes and select manholes to be replaced and sealed with a SpectraShield liner to make the system water-tight and eliminate I&I in the new onsite sewer mains. The team replaced eight manholes with new SpectraShield lined manholes, replaced 2200 LF of 6” and 8” sewer main with 8” HDPE pipe using pipe bursting technology, lined 390 LF of 6” sewer main using CIPP, and replaced/ installed various cleanouts to aid onsite maintenance staff in clearing obstructions flushed by residents.
