Olympic College: Greening the Parking Lot

Students, faculty and administrators commuting to Olympic College in Bremerton, WA are seeing stormwater treatment at work as they step out of their cars each day. Low impact development strategies (LID) and multi-functional landscape areas collect, treat and allow natural infiltration of polluted runoff. This project is one of 150 projects selected nationwide to participate in the Sustainable Sites Initiative Pilot Program.

Sculpting Natural Drainage at new Seatac Garage

The new WallyPark parking garage, adjacent to the airport on International Blvd in Seatac is nearing completion. The newly planted rain gardens will be put to the test with the wet fall weather now upon us. SvR did the landscape architecture and civil engineering for the project, and we were out on site last week for a final walk-through.
